NEW NASPA EXECUTIVES SWORN INTO OFFICE
The Kwabre East Municipal Assembly (KEMA) successfully held its Second General Assembly Meeting, bringing together assembly members, stakeholders, and representatives of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) to discuss key developmental initiatives and officially swear in the newly appointed NASPA executives and appointees for the 2026/2027 service year.
The meeting marked an important milestone in strengthening leadership and promoting collaboration among service personnel within the municipality. During the ceremony, the newly elected executives took the oath of office and pledged their commitment to serving members with dedication, transparency, and excellence.
The newly sworn-in executives are:
- Kenneth Asiedu – President
- Abdul Muhaimin Hussein – Vice President
- Agyei Beatrice – General Secretary
- Mensah Matilda – Financial Secretary
- Priscilla Nyarko – Women’s Commissioner
- Kan-Abdul – Administration
- Duah Manfred – Organizing Secretary
- Derrick Minkah – Public Relations Officer (PRO)
The meeting also featured a presentation on the NASPA 2026/2027 Initiatives under the theme, “Building Excellence.” The presentation highlighted programmes aimed at empowering service personnel, promoting leadership, entrepreneurship, community service, and professional development.
Among the key initiatives unveiled were the Office of the Women’s Commissioner Programme, which seeks to promote the welfare and empowerment of female service personnel, and the NASPA Skills Development Training Programme, organised by Zeus Atlas Consult in collaboration with the National Service Authority (NSA).
The six-week training programme will equip personnel with practical knowledge and employability skills in Essential Digital Skills and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy, Study Abroad Facilitation and Scholarships, Basic Law of Ghana, and Project Management. Participants will undertake two compulsory courses and one elective course. The programme will combine two face-to-face sessions with online learning, at a registration fee of GHS 15 per month, with training to be held at the Old Tafo Conference Hall.
The Assembly also announced plans for the NASPA Business Trade Fair, which will feature a two-day business training programme followed by a one to two-day market creation event in collaboration with the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly and surrounding communities. In addition, the Office of the Media and Publicity Committee introduced the NASPA Monthly Newsletter, a platform designed to showcase members’ businesses, celebrate achievements, and increase NASPA’s visibility.
Other major programmes outlined for the year include the “Impact Conference,” an educational conference targeting Senior High School students in partnership with the Ministry of Education; an Inter-District NASPA Soccer Tournament; a NASPA tour to Truba Enclave; a Study Abroad Webinar; and a community clean-up exercise aimed at promoting environmental sanitation and social responsibility.
In his remarks, NASPA President Kenneth Asiedu expressed gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in the new leadership. He called on all service personnel to actively participate in the planned programmes, emphasizing that collective commitment and collaboration would be essential in achieving the association’s vision of building excellence.
The Second General Assembly Meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from members to support the new leadership and work together towards impactful initiatives that will benefit both service personnel and the wider Kwabre East Municipality.
