Dormaa Kyeremasu Tragedy: Lives Lost, Okada Destroyed — Yet a Broiler Survives Without a Scratch
A very sad incident happened at Dormaa Kyeremasu Tuansuano junction around 11:00 am today, 12th December 2025. The community was thrown into shock when a taxi crashed into an Okada rider who had a female passenger on board.
According to people who saw what happened, the Okada rider suddenly switched to another lane on the road. Unfortunately, the taxi driver did not notice the change in time. Before he could control the car, it hit the Okada forcefully.
The impact of the crash was so strong that the Okada rider died on the spot. The female passenger also lost her life shortly after. The taxi driver and his passenger, however, did not sustain any injuries.
Right after the accident, the bodies of the Okada rider and the lady were quickly taken to the hospital together with the taxi driver and his passenger for medical checks. The Okada itself was completely destroyed beyond repair. In fact great was the sorrow among the peoples who were around
One surprising and shocking part of the whole incident was that there was a broiler ( poultry akokɔ ) on the Okada. Even though the crash was severe, the chicken survived without any cuts or injuries. Many people around could not believe it.
This tragic event has brought great sorrow to the people of Dormaa Kyeremasu. It is a painful reminder for all road users both drivers and riders to be extra careful on the road at all times.
