AAMUSTED-M LNUGS Holds NUGS Dinner and Awards Night — Honoring Excellence on Campus
It was all joy, music, and celebration on the night of Saturday, 26th July 2025, as the Local NUGS Secretariat of AAMUSTED-M, led by Her Excellency Clera Doe and the Women’s Commissioner Miss Margaret Adu Amponsah, organized the NUGS Dinner and Excellence Awards at the New Lecture Theatre (NLT).
The event started around 10:00 PM and had a great turnout. Many students, invited guests, past and present SRC Executives came to support and enjoy the evening. The MCs for the night, Bra Charles and Miss Adepah, kept the program lively with fun and engaging presentations.
The purpose of the event was to honour students and alumni who have worked hard and made positive contributions to the school community. Many people were awarded in different categories, some of which included:
Outstanding Student Icon of the Year
Outstanding Student Personality of the Year
Outstanding Female Religious Personality of the Year
Female Spoken Word Artist of the Year
Campus Media Blogger of the Year – this award went to me, Kwame Thursday
Campus Photographer of the Year
Outstanding Student in Technology – won by Miss Lorty, founder of Lorty Techpreneur
The alumni (old students) were also not left out. Awards were given in categories such as:
Outstanding Alumni Personnel of the Year
SRC Past President of the Year
Each award came with a citation to appreciate the hard work and impact of the winners.
Delicious food and Sobolo (a tasty local drink) were served to all who attended. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and everyone had a good time chatting, laughing, and taking pictures.
The event came to a close around 12:00 AM, and it was clear that the night was a big success. It was well-organized and full of excitement. The LNUGS leadership deserves a lot of credit for making it happen.
